01 · Is it really on the beach?
Pool view or ocean view. Most full ocean-view rooms come with a private balcony and seating.
Palms, fire pits and cabanas, open 7 am to 11 pm. On the way out, the valet team hands over your beach pack: chairs, umbrellas, towels and toys for the kids.
Cape Rey sits directly across Pacific Coast Highway from the beach. No shuttle, no car.
Beach access is straight across the road, via stairs. More access points, with parking, are a short walk south.

California craftsman design meets beachy elegance. Pick by the view you want to wake up to, and by how much room the family needs to spread out.
Separate living and dining areas, a wet bar and a Queen sofa bed with ottoman. Step out to the balcony for the sea air and the sunset.

With Surfin Fire Surf School, family-run and taught by CPR and first-aid certified instructors at Stone Steps Beach, two miles south. Board, wetsuit and round-trip transport from Cape Rey are included.

The Crossings at Carlsbad and its ocean-view holes are about ten minutes away. The Stay to Play package puts your day on the greens in with the room, so all you have to worry about is your swing.
